HII! I'M NICOLE AND THIS IS MY STORY
I’m a Brazilian product designer and developer, and my path into technology started early.
At 14, I joined a technical program in systems development during high school. That’s where I had my first contact with product building and was introduced to UI/UX design. When I discovered Figma, it quickly became central to how I approached everything I built, even simple school projects, where I focused on structure, clarity, and visual quality.
During that time, I stayed involved in different activities, from extracurricular courses in administration and telecommunications to part-time work and participation in hackathons and competitions. At 15, I won first place in an innovation competition by designing a full app prototype, and later became a South America finalist in the Uber Hackathon.
My first professional experience came soon after, as an intern in the app development team at Intelbras. There, I strengthened both my design and development skills, especially with Next.js, and gained a clearer understanding of how real products are built.
I was later accepted in first place for computer science at UDESC, while also starting to freelance as a designer and developer in search of financial independence. What began as small projects quickly grew into my own agency, where I led a small team while staying hands-on with design and development.
This experience shaped how I think about products - not just from a design perspective, but also from a business and decision-making standpoint.
After some time balancing both university and the agency, I decided to fully commit to the business. Over the past two years, I’ve worked with international clients and had the opportunity to travel, which expanded both my professional and personal perspective.
Now, I’m looking for a new opportunity to keep growing, especially by working closely with a team, exchanging knowledge, and contributing to the evolution of a product over time.
I value thoughtful work, clear communication, and building things that are both functional and well-designed.
I really appreciate you reading all of this, thanks!
